What review covers

  • Factual accuracy against current professional guidelines and peer-reviewed literature.
  • Balance: benefits, limits, and risks of any test or treatment described.
  • Clarity for readers with no medical background, at roughly an eighth-grade reading level.
  • Safety language: clear statements about when to call a clinician and when to seek emergency care.

Sources

Content draws on peer-reviewed research, professional society guidance, and public health agency materials, including the Alzheimer's Association, the National Institute on Aging, the American Academy of Neurology, and the Illinois Department on Aging.

Update schedule

Every clinical page carries a last-reviewed date and is revisited at least annually, and sooner when guidelines, drug approvals, or Illinois programs change materially.

Independence

This site accepts no advertising, sponsorship, or paid placement. Directory inclusion is free and is never an endorsement of clinical quality.
